BROOKLYN BRIDGE PARK PERMIT INFORMATION

Permits for film or photography issued by the Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre, and Broadcasting (MOFTB) or the New York City Parks Department are not applicable at Brooklyn Bridge Park. You must E-APPLY via the button at the bottom of this page to obtain a permit for Brooklyn Bridge Park.

  • Film and photography permits are issued for weekdays only. Permits are not issued for weekends or holidays.

  • Film and photography permit applications must be submitted at least two business days prior to your requested shoot date.

  • Site fees are required for shooting at Brooklyn Bridge Park. An invoice for the total will be sent directly to the applicant after the application has been submitted and assessed. Rates begin at a flat fee based on either a half or full day at a single park location, a cast and crew total of 15 people or less, and handheld equipment only. Additional park locations, people, or equipment beyond handheld will be at additional cost. Exact information is required. Roaming film or photography permits are not issued and all equipment beyond handheld must be listed on the permit.

  • Permit fees are non-refundable.

  • Insurance is required for film and photography shoots. Please see the main page for details. Student projects are required to have insurance from their school.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Permits do not give exclusive access to park space. Shoots may not fully block off an area or prevent public or staff access to park space.

  • Drones are not allowed to be used within or around the Park with no exceptions.

  • Film and photography permits are not issued for Max Family Garden or any playground or picnic table in the Park.

  • Film or photography permits do not cover parking within or around the Park. Brooklyn Bridge Park does not have parking available for production vehicles or motorhomes.

  • Craft service and tenting are not allowed within the Park.

  • Only handheld equipment is allowed if shooting on a lawn or artificial turf. The use of drones is not allowed.

  • Wedding or engagement photography does not require a permit unless your group is larger than 20 people or if you plan to use more than handheld equipment. This is applicable to non-commercial wedding or engagement photography only.
